Two On-demand Activities

This series of two on-demand activities addresses the challenges of treating patients with hemophilia and other selected bleeding disorders from both the pharmacist’s and physician’s perspectives. The first activity provides an overview of the epidemiology and pathophysiology of selected bleeding disorders and pharmacologic treatment strategies. In the second activity, the faculty use clinical case scenarios to demonstrate medical assessment strategies and potential pharmacologic therapies for patients who are bleeding and may have a bleeding disorder, as well as related formulary and systems decisions to avoid treatment delays.

It is recommended that the overview of bleeding disorders activity be completed first since the information will be applied to clinical case scenarios in the other activity.
